Abstract Lettuce is a vegetable most consumed and produced on large scale in the world, it deserves special attention for its nutritional functional value. Cultivated conventional, hydroponic organic method, presents different characteristics production, which may influence composition of this vegetable. It indisputable that regular consumption vegetables beneficial due to presence bioactive compounds with antioxidant properties protect promote human health. In study, total phenolic compound, flavonoid, tannin contents, as well activities lettuce samples from hydroponic, conventional cultivars were analyzed. An extract was prepared using 80% acetone. The contents compounds, flavonoids, tannins determined. activity determined by radical capture method DPPH. observed cultivation system had highest values ​​of ash, protein, flavonoids activity, followed system. presented greater protein content higher justifying high activity. Therefore, farming favors concentration
